The Mid North Regional Development Board has been awarded $75,000 through the
Australian Government’s Small Business Advisory Service to extend specialist small
business services in the Mid North.
The program, designed in partnership with award winning local business Rural
Directions Pty Ltd, will deliver 105 individual one on one mentoring sessions in an
integrated package of services including covering business planning, marketing, debt
management and restructuring business finance.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Board Kelly
specifically designed to enhance business skills and arm businesses to respond to
challenging economic conditions”. She further stated “The program will add
significant extra resources to the workshop program and individual assistance
offered by the Board. Training and mentoring will commence later this year and we
encourage businesses to contact the Board to register their interest.”
The Small Business Advisory Service is a $4 million merit based competitive grant
program designed to increase access to information, advice and knowledge, and to
enhance the likelihood of businesses being able to grow, prosper and achieve
profitability. Out of the 55 successful applications nationwide, the Mid North
Regional Development Board was one of five regional South Australian bodies to
receive funding.
